  • Software development:
    • Developed Virtual Instrumentation based   Computer Software for analysis of HRV (HRVsoft) and Blood Pressure Variability (BPVsoft). It is being used for analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) and Blood Pressure Variability  at Autonomic Function and other places in the country. [Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt of India. Medical Electronics and Telemedicine Division. Multi-centric trial of integrated software for quantification of autonomic tone (Principle Investigator: Deepak KK). Website: http://www.powershow.com/view1/86214-OTNjN/Indigenous_software_for_quantification_of_autonomic_tone_powerpoint_ppt_presentation
    • Centralized Heart Rate Variability (cHRV) Cloud network: www.chrv.dic.nic.in.
  • Technology Transfer facilitation:
    • Created a network of 6 Institution for dissemination of HRV technology (Autonomic Tone Quantification) , data collection and validation of Indigenous software  (HRVSoft ). Currently, in collaboration with Media lab Asia he and his college have are developing a centralized   facility for users working  in our country and  their networking.
    • Facilitated the technology dissemination and transfer of impedance plethysmography  technology  from BARC, Mumbai to L&T Medical. (pl see the related publication). (www.chrv.dic.gov)
  • Technology dissemination activities:
    • Selvaraj Nandkumar, Jaryal Ashok, Deepak Kishore K, Santhosh Jayashree, Anand Sneh. Comparative analysis of heart rate variability indices derived from electrocardiography and finger-tip photoplethysmography, I2Tech 2007: IIT Delhi Technology Exhibition, 21st April 2007. This work has also been published.
    • Participate in ELETEX, organized by Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, 2008 for dissemination of our software for quantification of Autonomic Tone.
  • Technology Assessment activities:
    • Member of expert committee for technology evaluation of medical devices supported by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (2014-15).
    • Member, expert committee for re-examination of physiological effects and quality requirements of bullet proof jackets, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI (2007-08).
    • Project Reviewer for Ministry of Communication and information technology, for project  at CDAC, Pune, 2008 for evaluation of devise for pulse examination.
    • Project reviewer, National Research Development Council(NRDC), Govt of India.
    • Member, Expert Committee for Technological Commercialization, National Research Development Council (NRDC), Govt of India.
    • Served as an  expert  for research committee for IIT Delhi PhD students for the title “Virtual Reality Applications for Stroke Rehabilitation”. (Collaborator Dr Amit Mehandiratta, IITD, Deepak Joshi, IITD).
    • Serving as Co-guide for PhD students and mentor for developing Vascular-Sim. It is a simulation program for teaching and research in Autonomic and Vascular Physiology (Applied Mechanics: Dr M Manivannan)
  • Initiation of Space Physiology Research:
    • He initiated Space Physiology research in 2013 and established a ‘Space and Environmental Physiology Lab’ in 2016. Earlier, he developed “Blood pressure simulation model”: (Indian J Physiol Pharmacol 1992;36:155-61). University of California San Diego (UCSD) has used this model to study the microgravity effect on vasculature under NASA supported program. He has published several papers. The patent on body gear is published
